Idi Othman Guda (Sarkin Yakin Ningi) (August 1945 – 30 January 2015) He was a senator in the Fourth Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999 to 2003) and held the offices of Deputy-Chairman Senate Committee on Sports and Youth Development, Chairman Senate Committee on Environment, Member Senate Committee on Rules and Procedure, Education, Power & Steel, Senate Services. [1] He was elected for Bauchi Central Constituency of Bauchi State as a Member of the People's Democratic Party.
[2] He served at the following positions before being elected as a Senator. Sole Administrator, Tangale-Waja Local Government January, 1986 - 30th June, 1986. Chairman/Administrator, Darazo Local Government July, 1986 - December, 1986. Chairman/Administrator, Ningi Local Government December, 1986 - January, 1988. Secretary, Special Services & Political Affairs Department, Military Governor's Office, Bauchi February, 1988. Converted to Admin. Cadre (Admin. Officer 1 GL. 15 1988) Appointed Legislative Officer for Bauchi State and sent to constituent Assembly for Training in August, 1988. Appointed Director/Clerk Designate BAHA in 1988 GL.16/8. Posted to State House of Assembly BAHA Admin. Secretariate in 1991 - February, 1992. Deseconded to the main Service as Director February, 1992. Appointed Director General, December, 1992. Appointed Secretary Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
