LibreWolf is a free and open-source web browser and fork of Firefox which intends to place an emphasis on privacy and security.[1][2][3]

Development

LibreWolf was initially released for Linux operating systems on March 7, 2020.[4] A community-maintained version for Windows was released a year later, with a macOS port released soon after.[5][6] It can also be installed via a portable AppImage or via the Microsoft Store and Windows Package Manager.[7][8]

Features

LibreWolf does not include telemetry and has uBlock Origin pre-installed. Certain features like Pocket are also disabled, and the auto-update function has been removed.[9][10][11]

License

The browser is licensed by Mozilla Public License 2.0, while the website is licensed by GNU AGPL 3.0.[12]
