Sersan Keroro (ケロロ軍曹code: ja is deprecated , Keroro Gunsō, Sergeant Keroro) adalah manga seri karya Mine Yoshizaki. Serial ini sudah dijadikan anime yang disutradarai oleh Junichi Sato. Anime dan manganya berisi banyak komedi dengan berdasarkan cerita aslinya, yaitu sebuah peleton dari planet lain, yang tidak lain adalah Peleton Keroro yang akan menginvasi bumi. Sersan Keroro, tokoh utamanya adalah ketua peleton tersebut. Keroro yang akan menghancurkan bumi terkena serangannya sendiri, tetapi ia selamat dan tinggal bersama keluarga Hinata serta anggota peletonnya yang terdiri dari 4 katak alien (Kopral Giroro, Prajurit Kelas 2 Tamama, Sersan Mayor Kururu, dan Letnan Dororo).

Serialnya bergenre komedi dari kombinasi permainan kata, humor fisik, humor situasi, dan banyak referensi dari budaya populer (seperti Gundam, Kapal Perang Yamato, dan Neon Genesis Evangelion). Selain itu, anime dan manganya banyak menceritakan tentang parodi-parodi dari Gundam yang biasanya dilakukan oleh Keroro akibat obsesinya terhadap model Gundam.

Publikasi

"Sersan Keroro" dipublikasikan di Jepang oleh Kadokawa Shoten, serialnya melalui majalah Shonen Ace, dan dipublikasikan ke dalam bahasa Inggris oleh Tokyopop. Anime ini diproduksi oleh Sunrise, yang ditayangkan di Animax, TV Tokyo, dan TXN pukul 10.00 hingga 10.30 pagi setiap Sabtu sejak April 2004. . Pada 2005, manganya mendapat penghargaan sebagai "the 50th Shogakukan Manga Award for children's manga".

Di Indonesia, serial anime ini pernah ditayangkan di ANTV sejak 2008 hingga 2009 dan Spacetoon sejak 2017 hingga sekarang. Serial ini pun juga ditayangkan oleh NET. pada 23 Februari 2021.

Alur cerita

Baik anime maupun manganya difokuskan pada kondisi Peleton Keroro, salah satu dari peleton alien yang merupakan klan katak (Keronjin ケロン人). Klan ini digambarkan memiliki perawakan menyerupai katak dengan dua kaki yang panjang. Klan ini memiliki tujuan untuk menginvasi bumi. Sersan Keroro, adalah katak yang mudah terpengaruh. Ia senang menghabiskan waktunya untuk merakit model Gundam dan mencari informasi di internet tentang bagaimana cara menginvasi bumi. Walaupun begitu, Keroro tidak tega jika pekerjaan invasinya itu berhubungan dengan keluarga Hinata, terutama dengan Fuyuki, karena mereka memiliki hubungan yang dekat.
