Philip Roth

Philip Milton Roth (Newark, New Jersey, 19.3. 1933.-^[1]) je američki romanopisac. Stekao je rano slavu svojom zbirkom priča iz 1959. godine pod naslovom Goodbye, Columbus i bestseler-knjigom iz 1969. godine Portnoy's Complaint. Nakon toga je nastavio pisati hvaljena djela, u kojima se često pojavljuje njegov alter ego, Nathan Zuckerman. Romani o Zuckermanu su počeli s The Ghost Writer godine 1979, a uključuju Pulitzerovom nagradom ovjenčani American Pastoral (1997).
