Bland kända spelare som spelat för Kaizer Chiefs finns Neil "Mokoko" Tovey, Lucas "Rhoo" Radebe, Patrick "Ace" Ntsoelengoe och Doctor "16V" Khumalo.

Kaiser Chiefs, ett brittiskt indie/britpopband har tagit sitt namn efter klubben, på grund av Lucas Radebe, en tidigare spelare i Kaizer Chiefs, som blev kapten i Leeds United, ett lag som de alla stödde.
