KirkPatrick Sale (Ithaca, 27 de juny de 1937) és un científic independent estatunidenc. Els temes principals de les seves obres són la tecnologia i la societat industrial des d'una perspectiva ecològica i anti-industrial.[1] Sovint descrit com "Neoludisme",[2] es va donar a conèixer als Estats Units després de trencar un ordinador en una presentació pública del seu llibre La rebel·lió ludita. Màquines automàtiques en l'era de la industrialització el 1995.[3]
Per a ell, l'imperi nord-americà no és ni una nació ni una república, sinó un tirà agressiu a l'estranger i despòtic al seu territori. Està a favor d'una nova forma de secessió als Estats Units, que advoca per recuperar la política en l'àmbit local.[4]
