Els trepaxonemats (Trepaxonemata) constitueixen una subclasse de platihelmints que inclou tots els rabditòfors exceptuant els macrostomorfs. Es caracteritzen per tenir una organització de les fibres de microtúbuls en "9+1" a l'axonema dels espermatozous madurs, amb l'element del microtúbul central fent una espiral.[1][2] Es coneixen però, algunes excepcions degudes a reversions.[3][2] Aquesta és una sinapomorfia morfològica ultraestructural que s'ha vist suportada per estudis de filogènia molecular.[4]
