Vimba melanops és una espècie de peix de la família dels ciprínids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.
Morfologia
Alimentació
Menja invertebrats i plantes.[5]
Hàbitat
És un peix d'aigua dolça i de clima temperat.[5]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba als rius de la conca de la Mar Egea a Grècia,[7][8][9][10][11] Bulgària i el nord-oest de Turquia (Tràcia).[12][5]
Estat de conservació
Es troba amenaçat d'extinció per la destrucció del seu hàbitat natural, la pesca i l'extracció d'aigua.[13]
